Accommodation Urgently Needed For 20 Refugee Families Coming To Guelph

Accommodation Urgently Needed  For 20 Refugee Families Coming To Guelph. Will You Help?

Guelph ONTARIO, – Canadian Entrepreneur, Jim Estill, President and CEO of Danby Appliances, has partnered with the recently announced BVOR Fund (Blended Visa Office-Referred) to sponsor and resettle 20 refugee families to Canada through UNHCR (United Nations Refugee Agency)  in 2018. Estill has previously sponsored 61 refugee families, and is recognized around the world for his innovative approach to refugee protection and integration.

"We are now looking for Guelph families or individuals who are willing to answer this immediate need," said Cherie Bauman, administrative assistant at Danby, responsible for this most recent accommodation appeal.

"We really need the help of our local community now if we're to meet our objectives. In addition to the family arriving next week we, still have about a dozen families that will be arriving this year, and we need to secure short term housing before they arrive. The families vary in sizes, will be paying a modest rent and need generally 4-8 weeks of accommodation while we help them find their longer term housing," Bauman said.

Would you consider helping to change the course of a refugee family's life?
