Over $125 Worth Of Alcohol Shoplifted

On March 11th, 2020, at 5:01pm, $126.30 worth of alcohol was shoplifted from a store located near the intersection of Wellington Street West and Gordon Street in the City of Guelph.

The Guelph Police Service is looking to speak with the female in the attached pictures in relation to the incident.

Suspicious Vehicle Investigation

The Guelph Police Service is looking for public assistance with an investigation into a suspicious vehicle.

On March 9th, 2020, between 7:15pm and 7:30pm, a truck was driving in the area of McAllister Park, Fieldstone Road, Harts Lane and Bathgate Drive in the City of Guelph. The truck is described as a white crew cab style pick up truck with a white cap. The side of the truck had a blue shield logo that had green and blue letters printed on it as well as two vines through the shield. This is not a criminal investigation, but police are trying to identify the occupants of the vehicle. The occupants are described as two Caucasian males.

Update Regarding Theft Of Green Toyota Corolla

On March 19th, 2020, at 6:08pm, the owner of a green Toyota Corolla parked the vehicle in a commercial parking lot located near the intersection of Silvercreek Parkway North and Speedvale Avenue West in the City of Guelph. The owner then left the vehicle unlocked with the keys inside as they went in to a grocery store.

At 6:43pm, an adult male entered the vehicle and drove it away.

At 6:49pm, the male was observed driving the vehicle eastbound on Carden Street, disobeying a sign advising only taxis and buses are allowed. He then parked the vehicle in the downtown core.

At 7:25pm, police located the vehicle.

On March 20th, at 6:20pm, police located the male in the downtown core and he was subsequently arrested.

A 22 year old Guelph male has been charged with:

  • Theft Of Motor Vehicle
  • Possession Of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5,000
  • Breach Probation x2
  • Driving While Under Suspension
  • Disobey Sign

He will appear in court on July 20th.

The Guelph Police Service would like to remind the public to always lock your vehicles and never leave keys inside your vehicles.

Fisher Hybrid Bike Stolen During Residential Break in

Some time overnight on March 21st, a residential shed located near the intersection of Water Street and Edinburgh Road South in the City of Guelph was entered. Entry was gained through the lock of the shed being cut off. A grey and black Fisher Hybrid bicycle ($400 value) was taken.

Numerous Tools Taken During Residential Break In

Some time between 10pm on March 19th and 8am on March 20th, 2020, a residential garage located near the intersection of London Road West and Edinburgh Road North in the City of Guelph was entered. Numerous items were taken including various tools, two toolboxes and a hand drill.
