Theft From Vehicle Leads To Fraud - Police Seek Person of Interest
Some time overnight on October 4th, 2020, a vehicle parked outside a residence located near the intersection of Eastview Road and Victoria Road North in the City of Guelph was entered. Entry was gained as the rear driver’s side window was smashed. Numerous items were taken including:
-Green Roots wallet containing various cards including Debit and Credit cards
-Large black Roots purse
-Tommy Hilfiger purse and wallet
-Black and gold Calvin Klein knapsack containing an iPad and textbooks
The cards were then used to make almost $500 worth of purchases online and at several businesses including a store located near the intersection of Victoria Road North and Eramosa Road.
The Guelph Police Service would like to speak with the person in the attached pictures in regards to the incident

Female Arrested After Attempting To Steal Vehicle
On October 28th, 2020, just before 6:10pm, an adult male parked his motor vehicle out front of a residence located in the downtown core of the City of Guelph. He left the doors unlocked and the keys in the ignition while he delivered food to the residence. An adult female then entered the vehicle. The victim returned to the vehicle just as the female was attempting to drive away. The victim was able to stop the theft by reaching in the vehicle and removing the keys. The Guelph Police Service was then contacted for assistance.
A 26 year old Guelph female has been charged with Theft Motor Vehicle.
She will appear in court on January 12th, 2021.
The Guelph Police Service would like to remind the public to always lock your motor vehicles and to never leave keys inside your motor vehicles.
Collision Leads To Impaired Driving Arrest
On October 28th, 2020, just before 6:49pm, an adult male was driving on Inverness Drive near Woodlawn Road East in the City of Guelph when he rear ended two parked motor vehicles. The Guelph Police Service was contacted for assistance.
Once at the scene, police spoke with the male, he ultimately failed an Approved Screening Device roadside breath test and was subsequently arrested.
A 26 year old Guelph male has been charged with:
-Operation While Impaired – Alcohol
-Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration
He will appear in court on November 27th.
Please note that there were no injuries resulting from this incident.
On October 28th, 2020, shortly after midnight, an adult male victim was inside his motor vehicle near the intersection of Edinburgh Road South and Water Street in the City of Guelph when two adult males brandishing firearms robbed him of a small quantity of money. The victim was able to escape on foot, and the responsible males fled the area in the vehicle.
The unoccupied vehicle was recovered a short time later near the intersection of Inverness Drive and Woodlawn Road East.

Breach Of Curfew Condition Leads To Drug Charge
On October 29th, 2020, at 12:10am, members of the Guelph Police Service High Enforcement Action Team observed an adult male leaving a residential complex located near the intersection of York Road and Elizabeth Street in the City of Guelph. The male then boarded a City of Guelph transit bus.
The male was currently on a Judicial Release Order in regards to 29 separate criminal offences in relation to drugs, break and enters, and stolen vehicles. The order contained several conditions including a curfew where the male must remain in his residence from 9pm-6am.
Just before 12:18am, a traffic stop was initiated with the bus near the intersection of Stone Road East and Victoria Road South. The male was subsequently arrested.
A search incident to arrest revealed 0.31 grams of crystal methamphetamine valued at $30.
A 24 year old Guelph male has been charged with:
-Fail To Comply With Judicial Release Order
-Possession Of A Controlled Substance – Schedule I
-Fail To Comply With Probation
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
